To catalyze sustainable growth by creating an enabling environment for the corporate sector to work in partnership with the Government, Non-Government, and Civil Society Organizations, as well as Community Organizations in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has now assumed a significant importance. The Government of Gujarat attaches due importance to the welfare activities that will be conducted for the wellbeing of people of the State of Gujarat. In this regard, a need has been felt for optional utilization of the CSR (Fund, through facilitating both the Public and Private Sector Companies in relation to carrying out their CSR activities.

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI)

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), an autonomous and not-for-profit institute, set up in 1983, is sponsored by apex financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and the State Bank of India (SBI). The Government of Gujarat pledged twenty-three acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDI campus. To pursue its mission, EDI has helped set up twelve state-level exclusive entrepreneurship development centres and institutes.

Gujarat Innovation Society (GIS) has been registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882, is constantly working towards developing and providing facilities to create a favourable environment of innovative thinking amongst the minds of the youth of the state of Gujarat initially and explore it to the world at large. GIS is basically focused towards Innovators, Innovation and developing Innovative culture in Industry so that day to day activities and problems could be solved in some Innovative way.

Viridian Espark Venture Accelerator (ESpark Viridian)

A sector-agnostic accelerator for early and growth stage startups. A Joint Venture between Viridian Ventures and Europe’s most dynamic business accelerator, Entrepreneurial Spark, UK. Viridian Group has formed a joint venture with UK-based Entrepreneurial Spark to support startups in India earmarking funds of up to USD 300 million for the purpose. The JV, Viridian-ESpark will offer an 18-month accelerator programme to budding Indian entrepreneurs besides providing funding support.
